Mini - symposium Title

MS005  Advances in Artificial Intelligence-based Approaches for Applications in Civil and Structural Engineering

Description

Artificial intelligence (AI) and computer vision (CV) techniques have made significant advancements in the fields of civil and structural engineering, offering innovative solutions to various challenges and enhancing the design, analysis, and monitoring of structures. This has led to the rapid emergence of new approaches based on AI and CV in various areas, such as structural analysis and simulation, generative design, structural health monitoring and maintenance, automated construction, and robotics, leading to more innovative, efficient, and sustainable environments. As AI and CV technologies continue to evolve and mature, they are expected to play an increasingly significant role in shaping the future of civil and structural engineering. To this end, this mini-symposium welcomes contributions that aim to address challenges in relevant topics in a broader perspective, including but not limited to, data-driven methods via AI and CV, digital twins with physics-based methods, as well as physics-based AI approaches.
